"Fashion Your Seat Belts"

I'm so excited for summer this year, the looks are so cute and not like most summer trends where it is just a whole bunch of the same print, same look, blahhh. But thankfully I am actually seeing some new trends pulled from something further than last year!

I've seen this new shape of skirt a lot online. Unfortunately have not seen it in any stores. But I've seen it mostly reasonably priced on Sheinside. So cute. BUTTTT, for real though isn't this second skirt too fabulous?! I've never seen the jean skirt anywhere but on Pinterest. But I so love this.

Basically, this season will be about wither short pieces, or a long skirt/dress. There is no in between. Although it is sooooo hard to shop for something short when you are tall, because it ends up TOO short. Or too short if it is made to be long. So I suggest if you are tall to always try the item of clothing on. No matter the size, it fit different because of the length. In the third photo, these long dresses with detailed backs are the bestesttt. It's kind of subtle and not to raunchy because of the length.

Here are a couple random trends I found as well. I saw a top like this first one on Victoria Secret. It seems as though this top would be hard to style and may not be figuring for all figures…. But it looks great for the summer and I bet it is really cool for hot weather! This second look is that fringe technique that has been all over the place in swimwear. But fringe on a cover up is wayyy more unique than the fringe on bikinis! In the third image, is a ruffle crop top, I love this look so much, toooo freaking cute. Two trends in one for look numbers 4 and 5! Floppy hats are in this summer (big shock), I might actually pick one up this summer I'm starting to fall for the trend! Also on outfit number 5 the thin fabric, wide bottomed pants are in and super cute! I suggest wearing these with a crop top or thin blouse. In the 6th look color blocking is featured. I think it is still in and I'm happy to know I don't have to stock my closet for that :)
Detailed backs have always been a prominent theme during this time of year. But more recently have I been seeing some new looks that I've never seen before. Super exciting and cute!
Lace has also been a pretty big deal in these upcoming trends. Which I think is brilliant because it is thin and light for those hot summer days. And I am not too big on lace, but it is pretty cute as a cover up, not gonna lie! As far as the life expectancy of these trendy pieces seems short. Thin materials like this tear up in the machine easily, or wear away and begin to look aged. So it may be best to hand wash and let it air dry.

Transparent looks are literally all over the blogs. I think this summer is about cute and comfortable. And I'm all for that!!

These are all the trends I have for now! Hope I gave you guys some inspiration and Have a lovely day!

OOTD

Good day everyone? I hope so! Today I'll post my outfit of the day. I went out to dinner and thought it would be nice to get a lil' dressy casual.
The weather has been super crazy in Texas, as I'm sure it has been along all of the US. It doesn't feel much like spring, so I've been sticking to the fall apparel. The dress I'm wearing I think could pass for spring and summer as well, considering I bought it after fall. I think it's just not exactly the stereotypical spring floral trend. But who wants to be stereotypical anyway?!
Anyway… here is the look:

Both the dress and the jacket are from Wet Seal. Currently (as of March 25 to todays date, April 8) all dresses and shorts are buy one, get one for 10 dollars. The jacket however wasn't on style, but I thought it made a perfect outfit with the dress. The shopoholic in me couldn't put it back, so regardless of the 20+ dollar price tag I still decided on getting it. The boots I'm not sure where I got them from, but brown alpine boots can be found anywhere, mine particularly are lace up, but is common as well :) I hope you enjoyed the little snippet of my parents' dirty closet, how classy.

The look without the jacket works fine as well. It was just a little chilly that night so I decided on wearing the jacket due to the triangle cut out on the back. Unfortunately my pictures didn't transfer so clearly, but there are groups of sunflowers across the dress as a print. The down side to do this dress if you were to order it online, is to know that they do run small, in length especially. I'm 5'9 and, like most dresses, they aren't made for tall people. So it is a little short even though it is a large.

I hope I have given you some inspiration for an outfit or convinced you about this dress I picked up on sale :)

Just Thought I'd Share a Wedding Ideas

It's okay to make fun, I'm not married, (I'm not even engaged!) but what girl doesn't day dream about her wedding? Unlike most girls, I literally pin wedding plans on Pinterest, watch Say Yes to the Dress, dream about it, et ceteraaaa! Please tell me I'm not alone!

Anyway, here are a couple things I discovered that I think are so brilliant and creative for those who actually are planning for the big day. This isn't for wedding dresses, because not all girls have the same taste, I could go on for ages about wedding dress styles, but I digress.

Is this precious or what? Having a flower girl in a white tutu is so adorable, and a cheap dress idea too! I'm all about saving a buck, and not spending too much money where it isn't completely necessary. This is an easy DIY idea for your flower girl.

I really like this flower arrangement, it's really not that manicured like a traditional bouquet, but I really think it would be beautiful for an outdoor wedding for any season.
This is a commonly used idea I think, but it's so intuitive and a really cute idea for a wedding invite.
Is this a good idea or whattttt? Saving your flower bouquet in a frame! Am I the only one who thinks this is genius?
Cute idea for seating arrangement. Having a little humor never goes wrong, everything doesn't always have to be so prim and proper!
Cute or nahh ? Definitely cute! This is a shot of the bride and groom, his parents, and her parents kissing! Well I think it's cute :)
If you're as traditional as me, this shot is too fabulous for words. Have the photographer take a picture together after everyone leaves the church.
Maybe I dream a little too large, but I love this wedding cake! The flowers underneath the glass table looks so elegant.
This Bohemian theme is just so fresh and I love it! I'm not sure I could pull it off, but just look at how cool they look!
If you have about a billion cousins like myself, keeping all those children occupied can be a headache! Hopefully you can keep them busy for a little while with some crayons and a coloring book!
This is just so handsome, and preppy, and I love it! This would be great for a fall wedding.
This is kind of country, and I'm so not that type of girl but this is just so southern and cute. Plus it would save a buck or two because these are just mason jars for center pieces! I do think it would only work with an outdoor arrangement though.
Ombre flowers would be perfect for a spring/summer wedding. They've been in trend for a while, so this would be a perfect creative idea for a wedding!
Another traditional wedding that deserves an amazing photo to match.

Maybe I shouldn't be so overwhelming with my ideals of wedding, but I know it's a lot more overwhelming when you're actually planning it. So hopefully my wedding vent didn't go completely in vain!

I HATE Floral!

Hey you guys! It's been a while sense I've posted, how is everyone?

Okay, so I get the floral is a huge trend, it seems like it has been going on for a while, and hasn't fell of yet. But still, floral reminds me of my grandma, and I'm not wearing anything that reminds me of a 50 year old couch!

But……

I recently went to Wet Seal (although you should know the same print is also sold at Forever 21 and I think Rue 21 as well) and I'm actually really into the sunflower floral print! For summer I think this print will continue the floral print trend. For the first time yesterday, I wore a floral dress, who knew!

I know that black nails don't seem like a spring trend, but I think is cute! And of course I know black hasn't been a leading color trend for nails in a while but did you see the picture???
This may be a controversial blouse, but I like! Although pairing it with some denim jeans would tone down the stretched print a little, these grunge blue jeans in the picture would also look cute! For a warmer spring look, this would be super cute with some high waisted either stone wash shorts or regular black shorts.
I actually prefer the black background with the sunflower pattern. I think it make the flowers pop and it's kind of edgy in a sweet way! You could take this print to so many styles and I think that's what's most interesting. This skirt can be found at tillys, and I think would be paired great with any white or maybe even creme blouse.
If you are really into the floral pattern, I think you'll enjoy the sunflower with a white background, it's a fresh look and I think it would be super cute for spring.
Can we just take a moment to admire how beautiful these pants are? They can be found on asos.com and I haven't seen any similar pants with a navy blue background. Personally, I'm a lover of harem pants still, they're so comfortable and so easy to wear. I seriously want these, how about you? Buy me a pair?
If the heavy floral print seems too busy for you, this subtle blouse is super cute and tones down the print nicely!

I hope I gave you a little inspiration, and if you like my blog please follow and support it, tell your friends and check in daily for a new blog :)
