Swimsuit Season!

It is almost that time of the season! Summertime is coming closer than you think. I have been counting down, and I'm ready to get some swimsuits :)
If you are willing to spend the money… Victoria Secret really has the cutest and most figure flattering swimsuits! They are a little expensive sometimes (or should I say most of the time…) but they really are made to make your body look good. I don't always order from VS, but when I do I search for coupon codes! Online shopping is my favorite, and if you want to make sure everything fits right, go to your nearest VS store and try it on, then order it online! Sometimes online sales are better than the in store ones, so with a little research, you can get some good deals!

This first swimsuit can be purchased at Victoria Secret, I did a little research and found out that there are some websites who sell knock offs, but MAKE SURE YOU READ THE REVIEWS. A lot of these sites post the original photo being used on the VS website, and the suit may be the same but make sure no one is complaining about the sizes being off track, cheap fabric or anything like that! Remember that it is cheaper for a reason.
The second bikini I have been seeing a lot of. I am not sure who the original designer is, but I do know that it can be purchased off of etsy.com. I LOVE Etsy. I genuinely do, and this shop had very good reviews. But remember that Etsy is just a hosting shop for different shops all over the world. So if you are going to order something from there, make sure the shop is in your country, otherwise, shipping will be wayyyy more expensive! This suit is so fabulous though it comes in more colors as well:)
The third and fourth bikini is so cute. I love detailed backs on swimsuits! They can be found online anywhere!

Clearly, I love bikinis, but I'll try not to forget the one piece swim suits as well!

This first swimsuit can be purchased from Etsy as well, but it is $135!! I haven't looked, but there are definitely some remakes out there or at least something similar! The last and second one piece is my favorite, so cute!

And don't forget about cover ups this season too! VS is having a sale on almost all swimwear cover ups!

The Holdensmaaa shop on Etsy also has very cute swim apparel!

Have a lovely day! xo

Sheinside Sweatshirt Review

Hey everyone!

So I ordered this sweatshirt a while ago offline. I personally enjoy shopping online, but I know it can be a bit scary or frustrating because you haven't tried it on! Does it fit? Will it look as good in the picture as it does when it comes in the mail? Is the website even reliable?

Well from my experience with http://www.sheinside.com, they take a long time to deliver, and everything is one size fits all (what the heck?!). I actually emailed the company about my purchase because it took so long, I was mortified and positive that the site was a scam. The reason it takes so long to deliver is because it is shipped from another country. The site is reliable as far as I'm concerned, it just takes a couple weeks. But I can also say that the sweatshirts I got from offline fit perfectly, and the one that I'm reviewing today is literally the most comfortable sweatshirt I have EVER worn.
But enough talking right? Here's the review I'm doing on one of the sweatshirts that I adore.

The first picture has a filter on it, but please believe me when I tell you that the picture on this sweater is literally soooo clear. They're are even flecks of purple in the eyes, it is such a high quality print it amazes me. I'm seriously not exaggerating. I have washed it plenty of times and the dye on it doesn't wear off. The quality photo remains the same. 5 star for real on the picture! This sweatshirt is my favorite because the inside of it is incredibly soft. I can not express to you how soft it is. And again, I have washed it and the soft white fur on the inside doesn't matt up or shed. Really soft.
But the worst thing about this sweatshirt, is that after time the black material gets cotton balls. Mainly on the heavy traffic areas. And by that I mean the back of it, and the arms. It's black, so it doesn't look dingy or ratchet, it's just the fabric it's made with isn't so high quality. There aren't any cotton balls on the front where the lion is, but elsewhere, cotton balls may appear.
That is the only negative I found in the sweatshirt, when I bought it was $32. Judging by the quality of the fabric, by no means it should have been that much. Now the price is $25, I'm sure it will go down again, for what it is worth, I would recommend this sweatshirt.

Nail Art Trends 2014

Hello everyone, xo

Lately, I've been looking into cute techniques for nails. I like to keep my nail art toned down and use neutral colors, my sister always says I use "old lady nail colors" but I actually really like subtle light colors that are associated with spring. Also, if you have darker skin, I think light colors look better.
This is a creative play on nude polish. A friend of mine got her nails done this way at a salon recently and it was so cute! I think it is hard to find polish that matches your skin tone though, of course it doesn't have to be exact, just try and get as close as possible!
The accent nail has been bumped up to an accent NAILS trend. It is okay to paint more than just your ring finger a different design! I like :)

You like? I wish I could tell you the exact shade of this color, because I recommend this to any skin tone. It's probably some weird name like "peach sunflowers in summer." Anyone else ever realized that nail polish colors are weird ??

Chevron print has been end this season, it's slowly being incorporated into nail polish which is adorable!

This is such a twisted approach to nail polish that I think we are all used to. Chances are, any "basic girl" would have black on the ring finger, and the peach on the rest of the fingers, but this is such a simple innovative idea I will be trying! I know black isn't an "in" color, but who cares I think this freaking cute!
Need I say anything? This is fabulous!
An ombre style nail polish? Fabulous.

I would go on with the endless abyss of nail art, but I think you got a good look at some of my favorite ones this season! I hope you try one!

OOTD

Good day everyone? I hope so! Today I'll post my outfit of the day. I went out to dinner and thought it would be nice to get a lil' dressy casual.
The weather has been super crazy in Texas, as I'm sure it has been along all of the US. It doesn't feel much like spring, so I've been sticking to the fall apparel. The dress I'm wearing I think could pass for spring and summer as well, considering I bought it after fall. I think it's just not exactly the stereotypical spring floral trend. But who wants to be stereotypical anyway?!
Anyway… here is the look:

Both the dress and the jacket are from Wet Seal. Currently (as of March 25 to todays date, April 8) all dresses and shorts are buy one, get one for 10 dollars. The jacket however wasn't on style, but I thought it made a perfect outfit with the dress. The shopoholic in me couldn't put it back, so regardless of the 20+ dollar price tag I still decided on getting it. The boots I'm not sure where I got them from, but brown alpine boots can be found anywhere, mine particularly are lace up, but is common as well :) I hope you enjoyed the little snippet of my parents' dirty closet, how classy.

The look without the jacket works fine as well. It was just a little chilly that night so I decided on wearing the jacket due to the triangle cut out on the back. Unfortunately my pictures didn't transfer so clearly, but there are groups of sunflowers across the dress as a print. The down side to do this dress if you were to order it online, is to know that they do run small, in length especially. I'm 5'9 and, like most dresses, they aren't made for tall people. So it is a little short even though it is a large.

I hope I have given you some inspiration for an outfit or convinced you about this dress I picked up on sale :)

My Girl Crushes! (Fashion Icons)

Hey everyone!
So what better way to get inspiration than celebrities? There are definitely some influential celebrities who I keep tabs on. Here are a few that I turn to when I need some style intervention!

Zendaya

Zendaya is for sure so versatile and can pull off anything. She is probably in my top list of style icons. Because she can pull off so much and wears outfits that I've never seen, she is such a trendsetter! I especially love her urban inspired outfits. If you like cozy street style, she is definitely the one to look too.

Rihanna

Rihanna is as well along the lines of street style, but I feel like she borders street style and still has a foot in the boundaries of classy. Of course Rihanna is versatile as well, she can pull off any hairstyle and for sure any outfit. When I want to try something new, I look to Rihanna and hope I can pull off at least half the looks she does!

Kelly Rowland

Alright, so you guys I want to be reincarnated as Kelly Rowland, she is just so beautiful, and I think a lot of her casual looks are much more "easy to wear." She may be more of a personal wcw but I love her style and look up to it!

Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad wins my (worthless) award of the #1 go to woman for style. Although I'm not sure what she is doing in the second picture, her style is immaculate. She's just so fashion forward!

Cara Loren

Nevermind, sorry Lauren Conrad, Cara Loren is my first place inspiration. I'll probably do a post over her looks because her casual looks are cute and comfortable. Yet, her formal looks are comfortable too! She is just so stylist and I probably sound like I'm crushing on her but her clothes are so nicely put together.

Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr is a fabulous style icon. She wears pants all the time and I loveeee pants, so the different way she styles them always give my ideas. Her looks are simple yet cute, which is sometimes better than complicated looks.

Update: More Spring/Summer Trends

Although I'm an active lover of the fall/winter season, I think it may be time to pack away all my sweaters. It's a tough idea to face, I even wore a Christmas sweater today. But on the bright side of things, spring colors this season are so soft and pretty. I can't wait for summer, only 45 days left in the school year for me! How about you? :)

Killing two birds with one stone on this one. One trend coming back from the dead this season is wide leg trouser. Although I don't recommend this look to everyone, it's great for my fellow tall ladies. I think for those under average height could pull it off in some cases, but these pants might swallow you up! The next trend recurring this season is that hattttt, omg I love it these hats. They are great to keep the sun from your face if you don't want a tan like me, (although I'm sure most of you do) but it also can prevent an ugly sunburn! These hats are just so chic I really love them and have to get one this season!

Crop tops are going to reinvent themselves this spring, although I'm against midriff being worn by common people like myself, if you can pull it off rock it!

Now of course Converse never go out of style, but I think these shoes have taken a leap into the blog world of fashion. This spring/summer season I think a lot of outfits coming out will be wearable with Converse.
I think rompers will go strong through this season. They're so cute and it doesn't matter how tall or short you are, they will always be cute! Semi-related side note: wearing a sheer/light infinity pairs great with rompers! That third look has my heart.

These are only a few trends I've noticed for the upcoming season! I can't wait for spring/summer shopping and for this ugly humid Texas weather to go away!
